To apply for funding from the PWJ program, the applicant must be a Holston Conference United Methodist local church or district or other affiliated organization or an ecumenical group/organization working with and through at least one Holston Conference United Methodist agency or organization. Applicants must work toward achieving at least one of the following objectives:
(1) Assist United Methodists in understanding and responding to violence and militarism;
(2) Involve United Methodists in efforts to end conflicts and violent aggression in the world, nation, or community;
(3) Promote just national and international policies and actions seeking to restore communities and respond to the disproportionate effect of injustices on racial and ethnic persons;
(4) Support policies that promote systematic economic justice and the self-development of people.
